| The world of watercolor is wide open
and offers so many opportunities for creative ideas to flow and ebb like
the ocean. I find it exhilarating to explore new territory in subject
matter, color and texture. Traveling for research material is a great
way to gather subject matter and do quick drawings and paintings. My
work is a combination of what I see with what I fell. I like to start a
painting and then let it take the lead while I work from what is on the
paper.
After receiving a BA in Studio Art from the
University of Missouri at Kansas City. I taught art for several years
and did post graduate work at UMKC and KU.
I've participated in local art fairs throughout
the city and have been accepted in national juried art shows.
I'm a member of the Kansas City Artist's
Coalition, Images Art Gallery, Summit Art, and the Greater Kansas City
Art Association.
