| Art has always been my consuming
interest. In my quest for personal expression, I
print or paint unique, semi-abstract work, endeavoring to use color and
design in such a way as to capture excitement in my pieces, and also to
leave a little room for the viewer to interpret and complete the picture from
his own imagination and personal living memories. My work is always experimental.
I am constantly trying new
non-toxic methods and products, attending workshops and exploring new
mediums and ways of working while remembering and using the technical
knowledge I have gleaned from my education. Serendipity stimulates and
energizes me.
My work is sometimes about people I have
known, or places I have lived, visited or become familiar with in a very
personal way...a personal feeling, sensation, idea or conviction
experienced. It is about inventing, pretending and remembering.
I have learned that art can be made without fear
and by using what one knows best through experience. I hope, by
satisfying my appetite for experimentation, my quest for knowledge, and
my love for the tactile and sensual pleasure of producing my art, I will
also make something that nourishes the intellect and spirit of the viewer.
